Chapter 19. Just Part of the Plan

Mary was inside her room while thinking about how she fooled Mika yesterday by saying sorry. She wasn't sincere about that, and that was also part of her plan. Mary took out her phone and flipped through her contacts, looking for Sam's phone number. She had no idea why she was doing this. She had no idea what she would say to him if she called. But she couldn't stop herself. She finally found his phone number and paused for a while before pressing the call button. It seemed like an eternity until it went to voicemail. Mary tried to sound casual in her message.
