Mika stood at the window and regarded the sodden streets outside. Her attitude appeared to be matched by the gloomy weather after a hard day at work. But when she heard a recognizable knock on the door, her mood improved. She quickly opened it to discover a tall, affable man with a sly smile.

"Sevi!" she exclaimed, unable to contain her delight.

"Hey, gorgeous," he replied, stepping inside and shaking off his umbrella. "I thought you could use a little pick-me-up."
