Chapter 140. Lost in Our Own Little World
Catherine’s POV
Sam pulled me closer and kissed the top of my head.
“I think you are overreacting,” he said, lifting my chin. “Your hormones are screwing with your head. Don’t overthink it. Grey is Grey; he will get over his mood soon enough.”
I growled under my breath, feeling frustrated that Sam wasn’t taking me seriously. There was something wrong with Grey, and I was certain about that. If Sam can’t see that, I will prove it to him.
“Did you just growl at me?” Sam asked, looking at me surprised.
“No, it was my tummy growling,” I snapped, irritated. “I’m hungry again.”
“Then I better get you something to eat before you snap my right arm off and have that for dinner,” Sam said, laughing.
I glared at him, which made him laugh even louder.
When Sam finally caught the hint that I wasn’t finding anything funny, he abruptly stopped and frowned.
“Wow, you are such a ray of sunshine!” he said, reaching out to the sponge.
