Chapter 81. Alarm
Colt’s POV
“Dinner was spectacular!” Sam said, putting down his napkin, and sighed in contentment, rubbing his belly.
That was one thing Sam could never lie about: food. He would make such a big scene to tell you if your food met his standards. I guess the Silver Moonstone Pack just did.
“Complements to the chef!” Grey said, “The food was wonderful; thank you.”
Grey, on the other hand, would make his food disappear and feed the dog under the table if he didn’t approve. Then he lied with a smile when he got caught, blaming the dog for looking kind of hungry and needing to be fed.
“I am glad you enjoyed it,” Luna Melissa said, looking down at Ellie in her arms.
She and Alpha Duncan had joined us earlier, and she didn’t touch much on her plate. I guess that was expected with everything that had happened.
“I hope you ate enough,” she said, looking at me. “After all you have done for us, I don’t want you to go to bed starving.”
