Catherine’s POV
I shivered in fear.
This. This can’t be happening!
This can’t be true!
“No, no, NO!” I growled. “NO!”
“Kate, are you okay?” My mother asked, concerned. She wasn’t used to my outburst, and it was out of character for me to behave like this among guests and at the dinner table.
“No!” I said, feeling a cold shiver run down my spine. “Please tell me…”
I couldn’t say his name. It had awakened fear inside me.
“I am sorry, sis,” Jimmy said. “But it is confirmed. Brian has escaped. I checked his cell myself. There isn’t a trail left.”
“Due to the rain…” I said. I should have known. “Did you check. .?”
“Every cell?” He asked, and I nodded. “Yes, he isn’t in there either. It was like he walked right out of there. The door of his cell was left wide open.”
“Like he was taunting you,” Grey said. “He is showing you all he was able to leave without anyone knowing.”
“How the hell did he get out?” Sam lash
