Alice was tidying up her desk, getting ready to go home, when she heard footsteps approaching. The woman turned her head and her guess was right, her boss had just come out of his room and immediately approached her.

“Today, my friends from the head of department invited me. It’s Lisa’s birthday, and they invited me to dinner at the new steakhouse out front. I’m sorry I’m only telling you now.” The woman cupped her hands together with an apologetic expression.
