Chapter 40. Going to the Hospital
Her lips were about to move to speak to the boss, but she didn’t actually do it. Alice chose to remain silent, even though her heart felt bad.
Harry’s figure simply disappeared when the man entered the elevator, leaving Alice silent there with a gloomy face. The woman took a deep breath and then let it out slowly.
“Mr. Harry didn’t even glance at me at all; is he mad at me?” muttered Alice, wonderingly. However, even though she felt so, Alice chose to surrender.
“Wouldn’t it be better to be hated at all? Because that would make it easier for me to get used to it.” Alice gave a faint smile with her heart in her throat.
Harry walked with a grumble, his face bent. Holding his annoyance in his heart, the man walked with a slight trot towards the parking area. Arriving at the parking lot, he immediately got into his car. Harry started the engine, and the vehicle drove off. He drove with one hand.
The shiny black car drove at a moderate speed on the highway,
