Chapter 39. Annoyed with Alice

Harry stared at the departure of the Office Boy. He then glanced at Alice, who was still sitting with her eyes fixed on the monitor screen. The woman was like a statue, busy working and so focused. For a moment, Harry looked at her briefly while shaking his head; he really didn’t understand this woman.

Not long after, while waiting for the janitor to bring him his medicine, Harry finally chose to enter his office. Besides not wanting to see Alice because he was upset, he also wanted to sit down to calm down a little.

While there, Alice, who noticed her boss’s departure, slowly glanced towards the door of Harry’s room. The woman then looked down languidly with a gloomy face; she was so sad because she had to behave like this to Harry. Her feelings were mixed: worry, indecision, and regret all rolled into one.
