Chapter 43. Road Happenings
Inside the elevator, Harry stood in front of the door while Alice was behind him. The man put one hand in his pocket, while the other hand—the bandaged hand—was left hanging.
Alice quietly observed the man, looking at his figure from head to toe, until finally her gaze stopped on Harry’s bandaged hand. Alice’s face turned sad suddenly as she looked at Harry’s injured hand. The longer she looked, the more the guilt in her heart grew.
The definition of self-harm is refraining from pretending not to care when the heart really wants to help heal. At least ask whether the wound has started to get better or not. Even a simple sentence like that, in reality, Alice couldn’t say it. She had already made a promise to stop liking her own boss.
Harry stood with a noisy mind; it would be a lie if he didn’t think about Alice, the woman who was currently standing behind him. The man couldn’t deny that Alice had completely colonized his peace of mind. Harry didn’t know the meaning
