Chapter 46. Drama Queen

Seeing Angeline being neglected by Harry made Alice feel sorry for her. This made Alice remember the letter Angeline wrote to Harry, a letter that contained the expression of the woman’s heart as well as her great hope to be back with Harry.

Alice cleared her throat for a moment to ease the awkwardness between the three of them. The girl took the initiative to answer Angeline’s question even though she knew it wasn’t her that Angeline was asking.

“Yes, we are working here and are now waiting for a client who is still on his way.” Alice said in answer to Angeline’s question, Just to make the woman not feel ignored because Harry didn’t respond to her.

Angeline nodded, and the woman smiled at Alice, a sweet smile that she deliberately directed at her ex-husband’s secretary. “I see. Thank you for answering my question. You are very sweet, very different from your boss, who is very cold to me.”

Alice smiled sincerely; the best smile she had was gifted to Angeline.
