Harry rubbed the corners of his eyes that suddenly watered, remembering Angeline’s betrayal in the past. It seemed to open old wounds in his heart. However, Harry felt that he needed to recount it to the secretary.
“I’m not vengeful, just annoyed at that woman. She’s a bully; she’s a crazy woman who never stops trying to seduce me. Even though she knows my answer, I won’t take her back,” Harry continued.
Alice felt her heart warming; she couldn’t bear to look at the man. Watching Harry tell the story to the point of tears made Alice feel guilty. Now she realized that defending Angeline was not the right decision. No matter how hard the woman tried, Alice now trusted her boss more.
