Josh's POV

After safely returning to France, it was a huge relief to discover that Bea did not have any serious complications. Instead, she was just dealing with the same illness she has always experienced. It's strange though, because in the past, her symptoms were limited to a high fever, the nosebleeds and fainting spells are recent additions. However, Bea explained to me that her doctor assured her that as long as she takes care of herself and maintains her health, she should be fine.

And taking care of her is exactly what I have always done. The only difference now is that I am even more attentive and dedicated to her well-being. As I walk into the room with a tray of food in my hands, I gently place it on the nightstand and settle beside the bed where Bea is peacefully sleeping. I gently brush some hair behind her ear and find myself captivated by her beautiful face. Almost in a whisper, I can't help but say, "Beautiful."
