Chapter 24

Joe rubbed his palms together to ease the cold he felt. He took a glance at Rose, nodded in satisfaction then took a sip of his wine. It had been two days since they first met, and every evening since then, they had been spending time together, trying to corner Storm. Joe had given up working on this course while Rose gave up her rest.

He took a sip of his wine and continued typing on his laptop. Rose was doing the same thing, ignorant of the occasional stares he shot her way.

“Are you close?” He asked, making her stare up at him.

“A bit. Israel truly has a vaccine,” she informed. He nodded with a smile playing on the corner of his lips.

“You are a charm. Why else would someone you started talking to yesterday give you such confidential information freely?” Joe teased, making her laugh softly. She went back to chatting, leaving him to his thoughts.

His plan to make Storm bend was quite a risky one, but he was prepared to go to any lengths to stop the de
