Adam stood by the floor-to-ceiling window in his office, looking down at the small figure of Kaytly outside the high-rise building. A chilling darkness emanated from his black eyes, making one tremble uncontrollably.

“Mr. Kenneth, why didn’t you meet her?” Aidan stood behind him, a hint of doubt in his eyes.
