Book 3: She's Here!

The weekend comes, and Lydia arrives in Moon Grove early in the morning. She is almost never late, arriving at least half an hour early to everything. While I was visiting her house, she showed me the thick blue planner that details out her schedule for weeks ahead. She uses different colored ink and sticky notes to organize everything. I’m thankful she is so on top of everything because I am often unorganized and chronically late.

Arranging time with Lydia consists of her opening up that massive planner and scheduling me in for times that she’s free. She’s assigned a specific ink color for me—red—for my hair and also so the bright color catches her eye when she’s flipping through the planner.

I know what’s in her planner for this weekend. She told me she’s already jotted down ‘WEEKEND WITH COIT’ in bright red for the next two days. I’m going to have her all to myself. I’m practically beaming when I see her silver car pull into the driveway.
