Chapter 114. The Magic Touch

While we are at Moon Grove, I try to cast a locator spell on Lydia to pinpoint where she’s been taken. Emory talks to her brother and manages to get a personal item of Lydia’s from him. She accidentally left behind her hairbrush from when she was here over the weekend. There’s a large map on the wall of the study that Rainer takes down and places down on the desk.

I take out a bundle of white sage and a box of matches from my bag to clear the space of unnecessary energy. Emory opens the window in the study to let out the smoke. I borrow a metal bowl from the kitchen and place it on top of the map. Pulling out hairs from Lydia’s hairbrush, I drop them into the bowl. I keep small vials of dried herbs in my bag, and I throw in some mugwort and sage into the bowl as well.

Lighting another match, I throw it into the bowl. The mixture of herbs and hairs spark into a purple flame. I reach for the onyx pendulum I wear as a necklace and unclasp it. D
