Mikey is always hungry. His stomach is a bottomless pit that never seems to be full, no matter how much he eats. Whatever food is within his vicinity, he runs toward it with relentless determination, and when he’s not allowed to eat when he’s hungry, he erupts into loud tantrums that don’t stop until he finally gets his way..
Mikey follows me into my office, begging me for a snack. I have a phone call scheduled with Coit, and I can’t put it off because I want to hear how his meeting with the Nightstones went. My son runs past me, making a beeline for my desk. The bottom drawer always has snacks inside which used to be for me as I have a tendency to forget lunch when I’m swamped with work.
The drawer is Mikey’s now. Nellie keeps it filled with packets of cookies, crackers, and candy. Helga always chides her about Mikey’s teeth rotting out of his skull, but my son is apparently immune to cavities. I don’t know if it’s from the shifter or vampir
