Book 3: Deal with the Devil

George Nightstone is a tall, muscular man that hovers over Ivy while she is trying to read the grimoire. Ever since we brought the male shifter to Ivy’s cottage, he’s been watching her like a bird of prey. Willow and I exchange looks, wary about this development. Ivy seems to mostly ignore him as she prepares to cast the locator spell.

She grabs a can of salt and pours it to the ground in a circle. The other witches in the coven who are here to help with the spell light candles and place them around the area.

When Ivy almost bumps into George as he follows her around, she rolls her hazel eyes. “Could you stop doing that?”

George is much taller than her and stares down at her with narrowed eyes. “Doing what?”

“I don’t know if this is a shifter thing you’re doing, but I don’t like people hovering over me,” she explains

His face flushes, and he pulls on his ear. “Sorry. I’ve just never met a real-life witch before.”
