Chapter 150. Castles and Caves

It takes me time, but I’m able to get into Castle Pestera. The castle is named for the fact that it’s built into a cave. Nearby is a waterfall which the kingdom is named after. During the summer, the water turns red due to the algae. Some people call it Blood Falls. It’s fitting territory for a vampire king. If I were a human, I wouldn't dare come here. Likewise, most wolf shifters and the remaining witches talk about this place, how terrifying it is. Taking a look around before I enter, I can't blame them.

In the olden days, humans used to think the waters turned into blood because of dark magic and evil rituals. Whether any dark magic has ever been performed in Castle Pestera is merely hearsay. King Myenas’s ancestors committing evil acts in the castle is more believable, but the Blood Falls take on the red hue due to mother nature.
