Chapter 151. In the Monster's Bedroom

The guards drag me out of the dungeon and through a series of labyrinth-like hallways, making it difficult for me to remember the path. They walk quickly, forcing me to jog to keep up with them. They don’t slow down, but I manage not to trip as we go upstairs into what I’m assuming is the first floor of the castle. The hallway is dark and lit only by torch sconces on the walls.
The walls are made of a dark gray stone, and there are several portraits of vampires that look like the tall man from the dungeon. They all have the same dark hair and red eyes. The cruel curve of their mouths practically mocks me. They’re all wearing simple circlet crowns.
I’m dragged through more hallways until the guards stop and open a heavy oak door. They push me inside of what I quickly determine to be a bathroom. The walls and floors are made of dark marble. There’s a large sunken tub in the floor with several bronze faucets on one end of it. The lack of windows
