Book 3: Time to Get Out

The alarm in the cave is still screaming, attracting the attention of the vampires in the field. It’s packed with cars. The guards of the vampire royals have been sitting in the vehicles or talking amongst themselves to pass the time. Seeing me running toward them carrying a woman wrapped in a blanket raises some eyebrows.

I recognize a familiar vehicle and rush in that direction.

Thomas, who had been taking a nap in the town car, jolts awake when I knock on the car window. 

“Unlock the door!”

He immediately follows my command, unlocking the door. I slide into the backseat of the car. Lex and Ivy reach the vehicle, and Lex pushes her into the backseat with me before running around the car to get into the front seat. Thomas’ seyes widen when he sees the small army of guards coming at us from the cave entrance.

“Drive, Thomas!” Lex orders, closing the car door. “We don’t have all night!”
