While I enjoy Cerise Port’s charms, being back home in Castle Graystone is so much better. The children are glad to be home as well. After hearing that Rainer has managed to save Lydia and has returned to Crimson Peak, I rush home to see him again. Traveling with children slows me down, but we make it there eventually.

I leave Bryony with Ivy as I want to talk to Rainer alone first. I want to know how the mission went, and I have to remove the glamour spell on him. Letting my daughter see a strange man in our suite wouldn’t go over well. It would only confuse her.

I find Rainer asleep in our bed. There are clothes scattered on the floor that he must’ve been too tired to bother putting away. It looks like he’s gone to sleep naked. The sheets are only covering him from the waist down, his muscled torso exposed.
