Ray’s POV

This is the fourth time I’m running away, but who cares?

I’m going to run as far as my legs can take. I won’t rest until I either kill the man who wiped my entire clan or I escape his clutches.

This time, I wasn’t stupid enough to run out through the front door.

It took me days to devise a means of escort that won’t get me caught by the same man who has caught me over and over.

It always ended the same way, with me tied to the pillar, and the beast having his way with me.

There were things so odd about my enemy that makes me furrow my brows.
