Ray’s POV

Who knew that being a leader can be so liberating?

It was so much better than when I was under the town leader.

Though I missed them, I can’t deny that it was good to have people at your beck and call all the time of the day.

I sat on my chair and watched the men go about their work.

After I killed the leader of the dark clays, I became their header, and I changed the name to Dark Stars.

Though the name didn’t please the men who were proud of their old names, none of them tried to challenge me when I changed the names.

I’m their leader, no one challenges me.

“Mistress.” One of the men came over to the tree I was sitting under. He bowed to me, and placed both hands in front of him, like a plea.

It took a lot of getting used to before I finally learned most of the ways of the group.

They were unlike the village I came from, and the place I escaped from.

“What’s wrong?” I crossed my right leg over my lef
