Chapter 11
“No!” the albino refuted, shaking his head to show his disapproval of his partner’s suggestion.
He had spent the last ten minutes listening to what Roy had to say and had come to the conclusion that it wasn’t going to work.
“I don’t see myself staying here with you until all of these cools off,” Roy said adamantly.
Cory rose to his feet, tired of feeling the rough patches of sand on his mild skin. He stamped his feet heavily on the ground to shake off the sand as he rose. Roy’s eyes followed him.
“Roy,” the albino called. “I will not let you mess up my plans for this town now that I am so close to achieving them. I’m afraid to say, but...” he hesitated. “I’d rather lose you than lose my life and the things I have put in place to do.”
Roy’s eyes glared at him at once, the color draining from his face.
“What?! You want to kill me now?”
“No, Roy,” the albino said, his voice a calm whisper. “I will not kill you. I’m just saying that if I have to
