Her senses heightened as she approached Dury Lane. The map before her said that it was due north. In another three minutes, maybe five, she would soon be there.
Detective Mia Martinez placed her hands firmly on the steering of the car as if she was somehow drawing strength from it. But that was not the case. She had become so engrossed with this new case that it was becoming an a******** for her. She liked this a********. It gave a sense of purpose, something she was not very used to.
Although she was ashamed to say it, the action that had recently been introduced into the city had awakened a renewed sense of duty in her. She’d missed the steady flow of adrenaline that came with chasing a trail like a dog until it led her to find out the truth about a case.
