Pain shot through me again, a fresh wave of agony rippling through my body. Doctor Zara approached, her expression tinged with sympathy as she and the nurse moved closer to calm me. My wolf was threatening to break free, ready to lash out, and I struggled to suppress it. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t tame the beast inside.
