The wedding vows and exchange of rings passed by in a blur. My eyes were fixed on Alpha Kayden. He placed one hand on my cheek, the warmth of his touch comforting. I closed my eyes, bracing for what came next—sharp pain. I moaned as his canines sank into my neck, marking me as his mate. It was the symbol of our union, the sign of becoming his Luna. My vision blurred from the pain and the overwhelming surge of Alpha Kayden’s power mingling with my own. I felt lightheaded until his strong arms pulled me closer, my body supported by his sturdy frame.

“Relax,” he whispered softly into my ear. “Take a deep breath. You’re just panicking.” His hand rested gently on my back, steadying me as the cheers and roars of the pack faded in and out of my consciousness. I felt myself being swept off my feet. It was as if I was always meant to be carried by him, yet I couldn’t understand why such a simple gesture made me so happy. Maybe I was being ridiculous.<
