Bianca called me early that evening with news that broke my heart. Despite all my grievances with my mother, I never wished for her to fall ill or die. I had fought for a long time to gain her recognition, love, and affection, but it was all in vain. With a single slap, she removed me from her life. But that slap wasn't enough to make me stop loving her.
Despite our differences, Juliano just sympathized and supported me for the rest of the night and the following days. I waited for Bianca to return from Germany, and together we decided to attempt contact with our parents.
It was Monday, well past five in the evening when we arrived at a sophisticated café chosen by Ruan for the meeting. Just like Bianca was without her husband, I was without Juliano, which made me filled with insecurities and anxiety. However, those feelings changed when Ruan walked through the door.
