“I… I don’t have solid proof… and… and no one believed me earlier,” I cried, my voice breaking into a sob as I clung tightly to Dylan on my right and Ashton on my left. “But you… you believe me, don’t you?”
I felt Ashton nod immediately, his arm tightening around me for reassurance. Dylan, however, hesitated before asking, “What… what brought you to this conclusion, Kate? You have to be careful—you could get accused of defamation.” His tone was concerned, and he clicked his tongue in frustration.
