After I suggested it, Ashton and Dylan immediately agreed with my idea. Without wasting time, we headed to Von’s hideout. Strangely enough, I felt unusually bold about going there. Maybe it was because I remembered Von saying he felt bad for us—or maybe just for me—which made me believe he genuinely wanted to help us. Or perhaps it was the thought that tomorrow was my last day here as Kate, and I wanted to end it with everything resolved.
