Chapter 39. The Special Guest

The Twilight band sang two songs, and those two songs were ones that Lee knew, so I couldn’t tease her as a ‘fake fan.’

“So… do you have anything to say to me now? I told you, I can be considered a fan!” Lee boasted to me.

I just laughed at her and playfully rolled my eyes.

We had moved from our earlier spot and were now almost near the stage, where we could clearly see the performers.

“Do you guys have any guesses on who our special guest is?” asked the lead vocalist of Twilight, and then he held the microphone out to the audience.

The audience didn’t have a unanimous guess for the special guest, but most of them were guessing Tate.

“Who is this Tate they’re talking about? Why does he seem so famous, but I don’t know him?” Lee asked with a furrowed brow.

“Tate. Our old friend. The one we used to hang out with at the playground. He’s famous now because one of his song covers went viral…” I replied.
