“Come on, make an effort to come over. Let’s support this girl who’s brokenhearted,” I said during a group audio call with Paige and Sarah. I was seated at my desk while Lee was fast asleep on my bed, her breathing steady and undisturbed.
Paige sighed deeply on the other end. “Why is our group like this… now there are three of you who are brokenhearted! What does this mean… am I next? Should I be scared about what might happen between me and Migs?”
Sarah and I couldn’t help but laugh. I shook my head, covering my mouth to stifle the sound so I wouldn’t wake Lee. If she woke up, there was a chance she’d break down and cry again.
