Chapter 15

The next day, Alanna packed her things and went to Matheus’s apartment. The apartment was well decorated. In some aspects, it resembled hers, with numerous shelves and law books. Photos of Alanna were displayed throughout the house in picture frames. Alanna smiled, seeing her presence in her beloved’s home. Upon entering Matheus’s bedroom, one photo caught her attention.

“When did you take this picture of me?”

Matheus rushed over, embarrassed, to take the photo from the hands of his fiancée.

“It was the day I proposed to you.”

Alanna blushed. “I couldn’t resist!”

“Matheus, I want to go back to London. I don’t feel well here.”

“I need to close some deals and look for a job there.”

“I can help you with that. With two phone calls, you’ll get a job.”

Matheus laughed. “I forgot my fiancée is the powerful Head of Law in London.”

“Hahaha, more like a powerful little boss. I also wanted to make a private call to Vanessa. Would you mind?”
