“That’s not you, it’s not your style. Unlike me.”

“What happened?”

“I loved my childhood friend. She was an omega. Usually, omega girls like alpha boys, not alpha girls. Even knowing that, I persisted. When her first heat came, I was there, and unbelievably, I satisfied her. We dated for almost two years. Now I see that it was my persistence. She got into a university far from London. One day, I visited her and caught her kissing and hugging a male alpha on campus. I made a big scene, in true Tomlinson fashion, and I wrecked her car. I got a night in jail for causing a disturbance and a big lecture from my mom. After that, I never saw her again.” Sofia laughed awkwardly.

“Well, at least I didn’t get arrested.”

“I admire your self-control.”

They laughed.

“And how did the pain go away?”

“It didn’t! I still feel it to this day. But don’t become bitter. Life is much better than these crappy things that happen in it.” Sofia smiled.
