Chapter 11

It was past seven in the night and Elizabeth wondered when Mathew was going to come back. Mirabel and her had gotten along at the early stage but things later got boring and awkward for the both of them that it felt as if she was forcing conversation which she hated.

She had watched movies with Mirabel at some point but wasn't so interested in it as she wasn't a big fan of TV compared to Victoria.

She checked her phone numerous times to see if she'd get any message from Victoria but she got none and she began to worry. Victoria had always texted her no matter what. She texted Victoria two hours ago but hasn't gotten a reply even when she could see Victoria was online.

Heaving a sigh for the umpteenth time, she decided to ask Mirabel the question that has been in her mind since morning. "So Mirabel, when is your brother coming back?" She asked, trying not to sound curious.

Mirabel looked at the wall clock. "I'm not sure.
