Chapter 19. Where Is Bruce?

As I returned home, I couldn’t ignore what Bruce had said about Vince’s secret. What was it? Did they even exchange blows? Bruce didn’t respond when I texted him a dinner invitation and a question about Vince’s secret.

I watched a movie alone in my room and spoke with my mother in the living room afterward.

“How’s school, dear?” Mom asked me.

“I got discharged early because there’s an event,” I replied.

“Simoune wasn’t discharged at the same time as you. Why didn’t you two go for a stroll, dear?” Mom suggested.

“Simoune has a boyfriend, so she’s busy with her romantic life,” I explained.

“Is that so? By the way, Bruce doesn’t have a girlfriend yet. Why don’t you two get together?” Mom said.

“You won’t believe what I’m about to tell you, Mom, but Bruce loves Simoune, and Vince is currently seeing her,” I said.
