Chapter 21. How?
Bruce’s POV
I might have had too much wine last night because I woke up with a headache. When I turned to look at my phone, it was dead. It must have run out of battery because I forgot to charge it last night.
I was astonished to see that it was already noon when I glanced at my wristwatch. I realized I couldn’t make it to school on time, and I hadn’t informed my mother where I was going. The bartender was right; drinking didn’t solve anything, and now I was feeling queasy from last night’s indulgence. So, I decided to leave the hill I had climbed.
Thankfully, I was the only one there, or I might have gotten into an accident. I felt famished, so I ate and breathed in the fresh air. Unfortunately, I couldn’t eat much last night because of my drunkenness.
“Here’s your order, sir. Have a good day!” the waiter said.
I still hadn’t attended school, and I was worried about picking up Lucy. Driving still made me anxious, and the strong wind and calm atmospher
