Chapter 175. Talking

Maddie and Nate walked into the building and this time, their security stayed back; not at the villa, but from across the street. 

Nate led the way, they walked past the receptionist who waved at them before heading down a hallway that led to an elevator. It was so quiet and the thrill of driving the car on the road was fading very fast, giving way to all the things that haunted her mind before. 

When they were in the elevator, Nate broke the silence. “You did really well out there, and I’m sure that you will also do well in here. You have nothing to worry about, Dr. Sherperd is a nice guy.” He flashed her a comforting smile.
