Alpha Nate’s hand went straight to the trackpad. He used the finger to lead the pointer to the email, opening it up, his heart thumping in his chest. When it opened, he read the email.

Then he read it again, before reading it for the third time. 

He could not believe what he had just read and had tried reading it multiple times to make sure that he was not hallucinating. What he had just read had told him that the gun belonged to Elder Roy. 

How was that possible? If the gun belonged to the elder, then that meant that there was no intruder that shot the old man and the omega. It was one of them who had used the weapon. Either Maddie and the elder were in on some kind of sick plan or one of them was guilty and was making sure the other kept their mouth shut.
