Chapter 75. At the Event

The ride to the Royal Ball seemed to pass in a blink. The limousine smoothly navigated the city streets, and Maddie found herself lost in the grandeur of the moment. Jacob’s presence beside her was comforting, yet it also made her heart race with anticipation. 

When they arrived at the grand venue, the sight alone took her breath away. He could not stop staring. In fact, this was her first time being in this part of town. It was the really fancy part. 

The entrance was adorned with shimmering lights and elegant decorations, setting the perfect scene for a magical night. The red carpet stretched before them, lined with photographers and onlookers. 

There were also other cars and people getting out of them in extravagant dresses and suits. 

As the driver opened the door, Jacob stepped out first, then turned to help Maddie. Her heart was pounding hard in her chest and she could feel her nerves going crazy. The moment she emerged, a collective gasp w
