Maddie opened the box and in it was exactly what the receptionist had said. It was a really nice one.

She stared at it for a few seconds, tears forming in her eyes. Why was she being emotional all of a sudden?

But the more she stared at the perfect sky-blue ball dress, her heart melted. Then it clicked, she was probably emotional because she had never been to anything like the Royal Ball before in her life. 

And the fact that she literally had the dress in her hand made it real; it made it all real. Being an omega, this was a dream come through.
