Chapter 81. Indecision

Maddie’s heart raced as she absorbed Damien’s words. The idea of leaving everything she knew was terrifying, but the thought of facing Nate with the weight of this revelation was even more daunting. 

“Leave?” She repeated, her voice trembling. “I can’t just leave, Damien.”
