Chapter 12. Shane

Shane and Marcus left the meeting room at the hotel and walked down the carpeted hallway toward the atrium, where the restaurant they had decided to dine at was located. Nothing beat a steak at the end of a long day, and this place knew how to cook them just right. Marcus had just met with representatives from Atlanta, who were itching to get their hands on one of the hottest receivers in the league. The offer was good. More than good.
The restaurant hostess seated them at a smaller table in the middle of the dining area. The place was crowded, as was to be expected on a Saturday evening.
“Offer is good,” Shane started the conversation as the waiter brought them water and menus.
“Yeah, it is,” Marcus agreed and opened the brown leather-bound menu and started to scan the specials.
“I still suggest you let the Wolverines come with a counteroffer before you sign anything.”
