Chapter 25. Venting Feelings

Cedric's eyes were cold as he stepped out of the luxurious black car that Bastian had parked. His steps were heavy as he stepped into the elevator.

"Bastian, you don't have to drive me," Cedric said in a flat and weak tone as if there had been much pain.

"Yes, sir," Bastian said as he half-bowed before the elevator. After the elevator doors closed, the man could only breathe because he felt exhausted and disappointed during the trip. Not without reason, it all happened because while chasing the last elf, they were interrupted by a problematic situation where, in the middle of the journey, the goblin who became an informant suddenly disappeared from their supervision.

Because of this, Cedric and his team did not manage to find out the last elf's whereabouts, which also caused Cedric to be discouraged, angry, and disappointed.
