Chapter 52
I woke up with a start, gasping.
Where was I?
I was in a dark room, and the only furniture in the room was an old-looking bed and an iron chair.
I was placed on the iron chair. I tried moving only to notice my hands and feet had been chained; my side hurt, and it took a moment for everything to flood back into my mind.
I remember Aurora's betrayal, and it still hurts.
Isis is here in the room, standing before me with a bucket in her hands, and I was wet. It made sense; perhaps she thought I had been out long enough and decided to 'shock' me back to reality, which explained why I woke up with a start.
"It would be very unfortunate if you slept through the whole process," she said.
