Chapter 24. Something That Is Stored

"Come in!" Scott shouted from inside the room. The sound of knocking broke his reverie. He knew exactly who was coming in at this time of night if it wasn't Sarah, his cousin's wife.

Sarah opened the door to the room and slammed it. Scott raised his unaffected face to the sound of the bang. A smirk escaped his lips. Sarah walked slowly into the room and stood defiantly before him.

"Give it back! Give me back what you took from me," she demanded in a haughty tone. Scott pretended not to hear; he was busy opening his laptop and doing his work before going to bed.

"Aren't you afraid of Ryan? He'll suspect me of playing with you. Aren't you afraid?" Scott glanced out of the corner of his eye. Sarah didn't seem afraid of the threatening words on Scott's lips. She was more afraid of the address falling into the hands of the annoying man she hated.
