Chapter 23. Change the Code

"Next week we are taking a vacation to the Maldives, as you wish. I've already prepared two tickets, and the hotel we're staying at has been booked. Are you ready?" Ryan asked, to which Sarah nodded.

"I happen to have next week off. We can vacation there," Sarah replied awkwardly. Scott was in front of her eyes. Staring indifferently at the couple. His hands remained focused on cutting the food and shoveling it into his mouth.

"I'm coming. It's been a while since I've been on vacation," Scott chirped, joining in on their conversation. "I won't bother you guys."

"You don't have anywhere else to go on vacation?" Sarah, who was still annoyed at Ryan's cousin, Scott pretended not to care; he shrugged his shoulders. "What a stalker."

"Just like you. How about it? Can I come?" he asked Ryan, who also didn't care about him.

"Suit yourself," he snapped.

Dinner continued. Ryan was more concerned with the chicken and vegetable soup than debating with Scott.
