Just as she had suspected, Grant's past was shitty.

Malia remembered his parents, the look on their faces when she was asking about him. Revolt, annoyance, fear, pity. They didn't seem like bad people in all honesty. That was because they weren't. 

Malia clicked on a picture. It was an image of the original copy of Edgar Houston's will. According to the will, seventy-five percent of the family fortune was left to Andrew, including ownership of the company. She also found another will, this time stating that the assets and fortunes will be split eighty-five percent in favor of Grant.

There was no explanation for the original will, and Malia couldn't find anything on it. She couldn't help but wonder why the splitting had been so unfair to begin with.

Malia had a sinking feeling that this was the reason for those letters she had found in his study. Grant must have caught wind of the first will and taken matters into his own hand. Did he threaten his parents
