Chapter 16. Deja Vu?

Karl’s POV

I was in my room with Mathias. We were talking about the incident in the woods, and from the looks of it, that wolf wasn’t a rogue but an alpha. I couldn’t understand why he would trespass on another alpha’s territory without permission. And he was so into Avery.

“Could it be that somehow that wolf is connected to Avery?” Mathias suggested, which made me give him a death glare. He was aware of the pull I had with Avery and was not going to condone any of such suggestions. He noticed my sight and went to back up his statement. “I mean, from the looks of it, he had been following her around, and not once had he harmed Avery, kinda like he was watching her and making sure she was okay but couldn’t contract a distance and had to meet her.”

“Maybe you’re right, let’s say you are right, but why? What is his relation to her?”
